Hey there! If you've just bought a China Cabinet from us, awesome! You're in for a treat. As a China Cabinet supplier, I get a lot of questions about how to install these beauties. In this blog, I'll walk you through the whole process step - by - step.

First things first, before you even start unpacking your China Cabinet, find a good spot for it. You want to pick a place that's level. Uneven floors can make your cabinet wobbly and might even cause damage over time. Measure the area where you plan to put the cabinet. Make sure it's big enough, leaving some extra space around for easy access and ventilation.

Now, let's get to unpacking. Carefully open the box and take out all the parts. Check for any damage during shipping. If you find anything, don't worry! Just give us a shout, and we'll sort it out. Lay all the parts out in an organized way so you can easily find what you need as you go along. Most of our China Cabinets come with a detailed instruction manual, but I'll break it down here too.

The first step in the installation is usually assembling the base. Look for the pieces that make up the bottom frame. Connect them using the screws provided. Make sure to tighten the screws firmly, but don't over - do it. You don't want to strip the threads. Some of our cabinets have adjustable feet at the base. Adjust these so that the cabinet sits perfectly level on the floor. This is super important as it provides stability for the whole structure.

Once the base is done, it's time to attach the sides. Line up the side panels with the base and use the predrilled holes to connect them. You'll probably need a screwdriver for this. If you're not used to using tools, take your time. It's better to do it right than rush and make a mistake. As you attach the sides, double - check that they're straight. You can use a level to make sure everything is plumb.

Next, we're moving on to the back panel. This might seem like a simple step, but it's crucial for the overall strength of the cabinet. Slide the back panel into place and secure it with the screws. The back panel also helps keep the shape of the cabinet and gives it extra support.

After the back is in place, it's time to install the shelves. Our China Cabinets usually come with adjustable shelves. Decide where you want to place them based on how you plan to use the cabinet. If you're going to store taller items, you might want to space the shelves further apart. Use the provided brackets or clips to attach the shelves to the sides of the cabinet. Make sure they're level and secure.

Now, if your China Cabinet has doors, this is the exciting part. Attach the hinges to the doors first. Follow the instructions carefully to ensure the hinges are placed correctly. Then, attach the doors to the cabinet. You'll notice that the doors might need some adjustment to open and close smoothly. Use the small screws on the hinges to make these adjustments. You want the doors to align properly and close tightly.

Some of our cabinets also come with drawers. Installing drawers is a bit more involved. First, assemble the drawer boxes according to the instructions. Then, install the drawer slides on the sides of the cabinet and on the drawers. Slide the drawers into place and test them to make sure they open and close easily. Adjust the slides if needed.

Once you've assembled all the major parts, take a step back and look at your cabinet. Check for any loose screws or parts that might need tightening. Make sure all the doors and drawers operate smoothly. If you find any issues, go back and make the necessary adjustments.
